I’m happy you’re here. It takes courage to put yourself and your mental health first. By choosing to begin therapy, you are doing just that.

It is common to feel stuck when our old ways of coping or dealing with difficult situations aren’t working for us in the ways that they used to. Carving a new path can be difficult. I am here to help you develop tools to manage those difficult parts of your life so that you can live an authentic, happy life according to your values.

How I Work

As human beings, we tend to shy away from pain. In order to heal the pain, we must first acknowledge it. When we take a closer look at our pain, a number of emotions can emerge. I believe emotion flows as energy through our bodies and acts as a messenger to give us a sense of what we need. In therapy, I will provide a safe space for you to experience emotions and memories that are hard to face alone. In session, clients often experience me as attentive, compassionate, and genuine. By exploring and asking questions about your experiences, I will help you create a strong sense of self-awareness that will help you navigate the difficulties of life more effectively.

Each individual has a unique set of strengths, challenges, and life circumstances. Thus, my approach is a combination of a few different philosophies that focus on the present as well as the past. I am trained in multiple modalities but most frequently use Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy. By combining my personal therapeutic style and evidence-based techniques, I believe that I can help you achieve your goals and live a meaningful, fulfilling life.

I know it can be intimidating to search for a new therapist. I am here to assure you that creating a strong connection with a therapist is important and attainable. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to ensure that we would be a good fit before we begin working together. If we determine we would not be a good match, I will provide you with referrals and make sure you are in good hands.

I would be honored to join you on your journey to living a happy, meaningful life, and look forward to hearing from you soon!
